A user at the Another Sky Press forum sent me the following PM:
you seem like an anarchist who got lost on wall street. good luck in all that you do.
Wall Street? I don’t own any stocks or bonds. I don’t have a bank account. I don’t have a credit card. I transact all my business in cash and checks which are converted to cash, and I work to settle my payrolls immediately. I would never align myself with Wall Street as THOSE people are the aggressors who want to rob the middle class en masse. No thanks.
aggressiveness is our society’s greatest problem however, and you are certainly contributing to that. but go get that dollar.
That’s pure Statist idiocy. The only three powers that create agression are the State itself that forces people to be “legal” always, the voters who enact the State, and criminals who violate private property. What I do is not use force or coercion or fraud — I entice customers to use my talents to save them time and money. If they pay me US$10 for work, and I save them US$15 in time or money, aren’t I a blessing to them, not aggression?
Im glad you “freed yourself from the idiocy of the commons”. Sounds like something you regurgitate often. freedom first comes from within, from seeing past your myopic view and by thinking of others before yourself.
No, freedom does not come from within. Freedom comes from being able to deal freely with other people who want to deal with you. That is freedom. Freedom does not exist within the sphere of influence of the individual, it requires two individuals. Otherwise we could all close ourselves off to the world and never deal with another human being. That isn’t freedom.
I think the greatest problem with “State capitalism” is that people who own many business, such as yourself, recieve the most profit from the laws than those who work for large corporations or those who own only one small business.
Wrong again. I pay more taxes than you will ever pay, and I pay it for the things YOU vote for. I don’t vote, because I think it is morally wrong to force other people to follow my moral beliefs. But I have to pay for YOUR use of force, even though I disagree with all of it. Who is taking advantage of whom? I work hard, and every hour I work I save someone MORE than an hour of their time. Some people believe I am worth US$250 per hour. That means I must be saving them much more than that. Why isn’t that a fair transaction?
Tax Write offs are only one of the perks Im sure you enjoy. Its those idiots that you are trying so desperatly to pull under your own moral reasoning, so how are you freeing yourself from them?
Taxes are theft and the raping of the masses by people like you who vote and force other to pay for those actions. I hate taxes. If I find ways to avoid paying certain taxes legally, I do it. Don’t blame me because you decided you wanted a junk salary in exchange for “job security” and “benefits.” I’d much rather work very, very hard for 3-4 months a year so I can take the rest of that time to research and develop new talents to raise my billable rate. Every new thing that I learn saves someone money and time — it makes me worthy of being hired!
You actually chaining yourself to their actions by focusing so intently on how you can fight their fear of the legal system. You seem the most afraid of anyone I’ve met.
I am fearful of the legal system because it tells me what I can and can’t do on my own property, with my own hands and tools. Some people used their own hands and their own property to ingest a chemical into their body. Those people are now in jail, getting raped by other inmates. Some people decided to use their own hands and tools to do work for another person, and did not properly pay for the State’s costs out of that income. They are now in jail, also getting raped by other inmates. The legal system is control, not security.
I don’t mean to spar, I just feel that I have not discussed this with anyone in quite some time. Im still working my thoughts out and appreciate a rebuttal. I just don’t think aggressiveness is a good trait to have and I know many successful people who are compassionate.
I volunteer 2-3 days a week to various churches and religious groups in my area. I tithe over 20% of my income to the accountable needy. I pay out almost 80% of my profits to my employees. Everyone who works for me is taught how to handle their finances (they all own their homes with nearly no mortgage, own their cars with no loans, and have no debt). How am I not compassionate?
You want to support the legal system that forces people to act the way you want them to act. You’re the one without compassion. How can the law ever be compassionate when it steals, murders, imprisons and restricts freedoms of the residents beneath it?
