I had a very long conversation with a statist pal last night at a local pub. Neither of us were imbibing anything alcoholic, but the discussion was heated nonetheless. He believed the best law passed in recent decades was the one enabling the suffrage of women. My position is that the law enabling women the right to vote was one of the worst laws ever passed, and letting them run for office is just as bad. The article here is practically what came out of my mouth, and there were no interruptions from him as I had asked him to stay silent until I was finished. I asked him to wait until I got through the entire “rant,” just as I will ask you to read the entire article before commenting.
Women are emotional beings, unable to process thoughts before performing common actions. When women act before thinking, we see irrational decisions made.
Women are very self-absorbed, thinking first about themselves and their families before thinking of the needs of others. Even when they say they care about society, their inability to focus on the needs of everyone in a situation leads to circumstances beyond their control.
Women are easily intimidated by force brought on by others, but can be even more intimidating when they have been given the power of force, especially when granted by government. Women have been known to shoot others in the midst of passion, and have been known to completely black out that use of force when questioned about it later.
Women have proven that their ability to comprehend the basics of freedom is lacking, as is shown with the many pro-statist women politicians. Women on both sides of the political spectrum find themselves voting for statist measures, no matter what their campaign platforms are.
The wide emotions of women can also cause them to become incredibly moody and depressed. When a woman is in control of a situation, depression can cause others in the situation to decide against continuing the relationship.
The flip side of the depression issue is that women can also be incredibly manic — performing actions while they are elated that they may come to regret, but women will never admit guilt over such actions.
When women can see past their own needs, they still don’t always see all sides of a situation. Many situations are more complicated than just 2 individuals having needs to be met. Putting a woman in a situation with dozens or millions of needs can be more than a woman can handle.
Women are unable to control their spending — they go on shopping sprees and buy goods that are not necessary for the lives. Sometimes these spending sprees can affect the entire family when they exceed their ability to repay. Why would you want a woman voting for how your money is spent?
Women are incredibly vengeful when someone performs an action that they don’t agree with. Women can hold a grudge for a very long time, which can cloud their vision when having to deal with someone on a repeated basis.
Women are one of the greatest oppressors of other women, being known to gossip and speak ill of other women. Women have been known to not accept other women who may have better traits than themselves, such as better looking women, wealthier women and women with more attractive spouses. A woman with power might desire to harm other women just out of spite, without contemplating the harm brought to the other woman or themselves.
So as you can see, it is my opinion that the woman’s right to vote, and run for office, is one of the worst laws ever created. The proof is evident as the slide toward tyranny rests partially on the shoulders of the voting women of the U.S., as well as the women in office.
The only problem I have beyond women is men. If you’d kindly re-read this article and replace the words “woman” with “man” and “women” with “men,” you’ll see the other equally bad law and ability — for man to vote and run for office. They’re just as bad, and just as unable to cope with power over other individuals. They are just as likely to overspend their own money beyond their budgets, and I would not trust most men to spend my money. They gossip about other men, and hold another man’s better traits against them. They’re intimidated by force, but they’re also unable to control their own use of force when they are in a better position. Women, just as men, should not have the power to take my body, my property, my labor or my wealth to use against me or even for me. There is only one living person that I trust to use my property properly, and that is me. And even then I don’t trust myself 100%, how could I ever trust you, no matter if you are a man or a woman?
